Rising 10,032 ft. above sea level, Haleakala is Maui's "House of the Sun." Departing from the ship, your guided drive up the mountain will take you through Maui's diverse scenery. Last erupting in 1790, the astonishing crater of this dormant volcano measures 7.5 miles long, 2.5 miles wide, 21 miles around and 3,000 ft. deep, covering 19 square miles.
Requirements & Restrictions: Guests with heart or respiratory conditions should be cautioned that Haleakala’s summit is at 9,740 ft. and may cause breathing difficulties.
What to Bring: Warm clothing, jacket, closed-toe shoes, and water.
Good to Know: The temperature can drop 30° after sunset.
