Leaving the pier, your air-conditioned motor coach will wind its way through winding roads up the foothills to the town of Concordia, which its main industry is colonial furniture and pottery. In route, you will visit the town of Malpica, where you are welcomed with typical Mexican sweet bread from the town´s home baker and see a one-man tile workshop. Stop over at one of the many pottery workshops and typical colonial design furniture stores for a complimentary drink to cool down in this tropical area. Continuing deeper into the mountains through a tree lined winding road, arrive at the cobblestone village of Copala, a once-thriving Spanish gold and silver mining town that dates back as far as 1565. During the walking exploration, view ornate colonial houses, a jail and an impressive church. An authentic Mexican lunch is yours to enjoy, including chicken or beef fajitas and an exquisite Mexican dessert. After traveling approximately one hour, stop briefly to hunt for the perfect treasure or memento in the shops of the Golden Zone. Then, proceed back to the pier along the scenic waterfront.
