On this fun-filled outing discover the lovely Greek Island of Mykonos and spend some time on one of its famous beaches. Begin the day with a drive across the island to the picturesque village of Ano Mera, the largest village on the island and known for its charming square and pristine working Monastery of Panagia Tourliani. This beautiful 16th C built complex was remodeled in the 18th C and is a fine example of island architecture. The Monastery’s impressive bell tower and marble fountain provide the perfect photo opportunity. Continue to Elia beach and spend about two hours to enjoy the sun, sea and golden sand. The Aegean’s crystal blue waters are an open invitation to go swimming, and the beach perfect for basking or walking along the shoreline. After, it is a quick drive to the vicinity of Elia to enjoy a selection of Greek specialties with refreshments at a quaint taverna on the beach. This exploration of Mykonos continues with a panoramic drive to the island’s best sights. On the way back to Mykonos Town, pass by Ornos beach. At the end of the guided tour, and if time allows, you can stay in town and return to Tourlos Port at your own expense. Order of the site visits may vary due to operational reasons.
