See the Amalfi Coast and visit the famous village of Positano, the cliff-top resort of Sorrento and Pompeii’s excavations. Departing from the pier by minivan, begin your coastal drive towards Positano, where a picture postcard comes to life as you explore this elegant haven for designer boutiques and seaside cafes. Your journey continues, for about an hour, towards Sorrento where you’ll enjoy time on your own to explore this beautiful seaside town, followed by lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards, proceed to the ancient city of Pompeii. You’ll see the remains of the Forum, the lavish temples and the porticoes devastated by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Time permitting, you will visit a cameo factory to observe local artisans at work.
This excursion involves approximately two hours of walking over uneven surfaces and cobblestone. For safety reasons, guests with walking difficulties are not permitted on this excursion. Comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended. Headphones provided in Pompeii. This excursion includes extreme and difficult activity. There are winding roads. Tour is conducted in small groups of 19 people per minibus. Limited lockers are available at the archaeological site, with long lines expected.
