Shark Encounter & Snorkel: In an intimate group of six, guided by expert trainers, you will have the opportunity to feed and cradle the dorsal Bahamian nurse shark. Watch in awe as your trainer guides the shark throughout the ocean pool with ease and precision. Your unforgettable memories captured by a professional team of photographers and videographers. Then, gear up once again and snorkel in the natural habitat of your new shark friend.
Food & Shopping: Enjoy a snack or lunch (for purchase) at the open-air restaurant or discover local arts & crafts in an authentic Bahamian craft market.
What’s Included:
Requirements & Restrictions: Minimum age – 10 years. For safety reasons, pregnant women and guests with walking difficulties may not participate on this excursion. Cameras, cells phones and other electronic devices are not allowed during the shark encounter. Water shoes are required for this tour.
What to Bring: Light clothing, water shoes and credit/debit card for purchases (no cash is accepted on the island).
Good to know: Transportation to the island is via a 35-minute, scenic boat ride. Guests booked on other Blue Lagoon tours may travel together on the same boat. Paddleboards, kayaks, clear bottom kayaks, water bikes and snorkel gear are available for rent. Access to the Aquapark will be available at additional cost of $22.99 per person, once on the island. Facilities also include showers, lockers and changing rooms. Blue Lagoon Island is certified under the global American Humane Conservation program for the welfare and humane treatment of the animals under its care.
