Board a ferry boat for a cruise through Casco Bay to Peaks Island for a delicious "Downeast" lobster bake and freetime to explore the town. From the pier a short walk brings you to the Casco Bay Lines, the regional ferry system that serves the numerous inhabited islands that pepper Casco Bay. After check-in by your guide board the ferry for 20 minute scenic transfer to Peaks Island.
Technically still part of the city of Portland but located three miles off shore. Peaks Island is quaint and so-typically New England. Upon arrival a short walk brings you to the charming and historic Inn on Peaks Island where you enjoy a traditional lobster bake including clam chowder, steamed clams or mussels, 1¼ lb. fresh lobster (one per person), baked potato, corn on the cobb, dinner rolls and a seasonal desert and water (cash bar available). Following you meal free time is afforded to browse the quaint island before returning the mainland with your guide.
