Mountain Hike: Get ready for a challenging yet rewarding outdoor adventure! Over the course of 4.5km, you'll navigate uphill terrain with wet and loose rock, surrounded by exposed rocks, roots, and holes. As you reach an elevation of 1,000 feet, the trail levels off to reveal magnificent boardwalks and marshy areas, providing a breathtaking panoramic view of the North Pacific Ocean and the Coast Mountains in the distance.
Delicious Descent: Take a break at the summit, where you'll be treated to an energizing locally made snack and sandwich from a fresh food café. Capture missed photo opportunities and ask any remaining questions as you descend back to the base of Mount Oldfield.
What’s Included:
Requirements & Restrictions: Minimum age – 12 years. This tour involves an approximately 3.5-hour trek over sometimes steep, wet, and uneven terrain, including rocks and exposed roots. This hike also involves negotiating natural obstacles and walking along high cliffs without barricades. Guests are recommended to be in good physical condition to participate. All guests must sign a waiver of liability.
What to Bring: Warm, layered, waterproof clothing, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and comfortable waterproof shoes are recommended.
Good to Know: At the trailhead, guests will be equipped with trekking poles and water bottles (if desired). This excursion will operate rain or shine. The first part of the trail is relatively level followed by a gradual increasing incline.
