Details

Panoramic Tour: Meet your expert guides on the pier who are trained in outdoor leadership and are knowledgeable about the area’s history, Indigenous culture, and local plant life. Transfer through the heart of Prince Rupert's residential neighborhood, to the Omenica Trailhead Connector, near the base of the mountain. After descending a staircase into the forest, a half-mile boardwalk trail may get you a taste of salmonberries, huckleberries, or even wild blueberries, picked fresh from the forest.

Trail: After reaching an elevation of approximately 1,000 feet, you will be guided off the dirt utility road into the alpine forest. The last 0.2 miles of the hike takes you over a forest section that sometimes requires clambering under and over logs and rocks. Here, your efforts will be rewarded with a stunning panoramic view on a wooden deck platform. You’ll have the opportunity to grab a seat to soak in the sights and appreciate the natural scenery, and enjoy an energy-rich, locally made snack.
