Sightseeing Tour through “Paseo de Montejo”: Inspired by the great boulevards of Paris, Merida’s Paseo de Montejo offers one stunning mansion after another. Built by wealthy Spanish colonizers over a century ago, Mérida hereby preserves and puts on permanent display its rich European roots.

Visit Local Authentic Market: Immerse yourself in the local culture and visit the main fresh food market. Discover their unique products, where they come from, how they are produced and how they are used. We will stop at three different spots for these tasting experiences. As with all great cities, this market is the culinary heart and cultural soul of Mérida.

Exquisite Regional Food: Try local panuchos, salbutes and empanadas. Choose two from a wide variety. Stop to taste the most famous tacos of Yucatán; cochinita pibil and lechon (You’ll have one taco of each.) Cochinita will melt in your mouth!

Museum of Art: Have a short visit to the Museum of Mérida, which illustrates the art and development of our cultural heritage through the centuries. This building is of great importance, both architecturally and historically.

Visit Classic Cantina: Visit an old, classic cantina to complete your foody experience with a traditional fresh margarita.
