Experience the world’s highest tides at the famous Hopewell Rocks, the icon of New Brunswick. Twice daily, 100 billion tons of water creates tides that rise up to 50 feet in the Bay of Fundy. At high tide, the tops of the Hopewell Rocks look like little islands in the sea. At low tide, those little islands tower 4 stories above your head! Join us on this tour to the Hopewell Rocks Tidal Discovery Site, a fascinating place to experience the tides, no matter which stage of the cycle you see. Your tour includes a buffet lunch and a ride through Fundy National Park. You’ll also learn why UNESCO recently designated the Bay of Fundy a Biosphere Reserve and much more from your local guide en route.
- Tidal activity and the stage of the tide during your visit cannot be guaranteed.
- Guests must be able to walk about 300 yards over pebbled and wet surfaces, and maneuver 100 steps.
- Journey to Hopewell is about 2 hours each way.
