Upon arriving in Bakkagerdi, you'll disembark for a typical Icelandic lunch. Above Bakkagerdi sits Alfaborg, a rocky hill, home of the fairy queen of Iceland. Nearby is Bakkagerdiskirkja, an enchanting 110-year-old church. The inside altarpiece depicts Christ giving the Sermon on the Mount standing atop Alfaborg. Before returning to your ship, you'll stop at Hafnarholmi, a must-see for bird enthusiasts. A staircase that leads to the top of town offers breathtaking views.
