Rakvere Castle: Board your motorcoach and travel country roads to 14th century Rakvere Castle, built by the warrior monks of the Livonian Order. Today, the castle is a medieval experience center complete with catapults, dungeons and live cannon. Explore the ruins of the castle and enjoy lunch in its courtyard.
Tallin: Return to Tallinn for a walking tour of Toompea Hill, named for the fortress that now houses Estonia’s parliament. See the Pikk Hermann, a medieval tower some 150 ft. in height. Stroll to Palace Square, site of the Orthodox Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Step inside to view its icons. Continue to the Dome Church, St. Mary’s Cathedral, and Tallinn's oldest church; nobility have been buried here since the 15th century. View the stone sarcophagi before enjoying free time to shop for souvenirs.

Requirements & Restrictions: In order to reach Upper Old Town, guests must walk up the hill for approximately 325-425 yards depending on where the coaches are parked. There are more approximately 150 steps to reach the Rakvere castle. On Sundays and in the event of religious events, the Dome Church will be seen from the outside only due to church services. Flash photography or video cameras are not permitted in the Dome Church or Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.

Good to Know: The sequence of stops may vary by tour. Rakvere is located approximately 1.5 hour drive from Tallinn. Visits to the Torture and Hell Chambers are non-guided and optional. Every guest will get 1 vodka shot; 5 guests from the group will get a vodka tasting of 5 different brands. Most of the venues, shops are closed on June 23. Credit cards or euros are recommended when shopping for souvenirs.
