Dominion Astrophysical Observatory: Designated a National Historic Site of Canada, the observatory is a world-renowned facility, and it was one of the world’s main astrophysical research centers until the 1960s. Guests will have an 80-minute guided visit to include a tour of the over 100-year-old working telescope, history of the site, planetarium show and access to the gallery and gift shop.
City Tour: Enjoy a drive through downtown Victoria. See the Inner Harbour, Empress Hotel, and Parliament Building.
Requirements & Restrictions: Guests must be able to ascend and descend stairs onto the motorcoach as there is no lift. This tour is not suitable for guests in wheelchairs or scooters.
What to Bring: Camera and cash or credit/debit card for purchases.
Good to know: The Observatory is closed to the general public and guests wishing to visit must book the tour through Carnival’s shore excursions.
