Rendezvous Caye is a 45-minute boat ride from the ship and lies against the inner side of the Barrier Reef of Belize, a UNESCO declared site. The tour is hosted on a natural coral island that is a part of the largest living barrier reef in the western hemisphere surrounded by lush coral structures and unique marine wildlife, 106 different species of live coral, 500 species of colorful fish and hundreds of invertebrate species. The position of the island provides a safe and easy snorkeling experience compared to other snorkeling sites; along with its marine diversity make Rendezvous a perfect site for beginners and advanced snorkelers. For all these reasons, this little piece of paradise is one of the most outstanding snorkeling areas of Belize.
What’s Included:
Requirements & Restrictions: Minimum age to snorkel – 8 years. Maximum weight – 250lbs. Minimum age to drink alcohol – 18 years. Pregnant women and guests with cardiac conditions, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy or under certain medical restrictions are not permitted on this excursion.
What to Bring: Sunglasses, biodegradable sunscreen, hat, beach towel, and cash for purchases.
Good to Know: This is a great location for snorkeling. Please be mindful of the environment, do not wear regular sunscreen, and do not touch the coral reef. Travel time to and from the island is 45 minutes each way. Children 5 and under are free of charge.
