
Chilkoot Corridor: Start your tour with a drive along the Chilkoot River, where glaciers, towering peaks, rivers, and the sea all converge in amazing scenery. Chilkoot River is home to a large population of bears and other wildlife due to the large Sockeye salmon run that goes up the river and into Chilkoot Lake.
Chilkoot Lake Canoeing: Begin with a safety briefing and paddling instruction, then don a personal flotation device. You’ll be stepping into a Voyageur canoe, which is stable, comfortable, and quiet. You’ll paddle for approximately two hours on Chilkoot Lake. The canoe is motor assisted, to allow for a mix of paddling and motoring.
What’s Included:
Requirements and Restrictions: Minimum age – 8 years. Maximum weight – 350 lbs. This is an active excursion and guests must be physically fit in order to participate.
What to Bring: Camera and layers for warmth.
Good to Know: Tour runs rain or shine. Wildlife sightings are common but not guaranteed. The canoe is motor assisted.
