Explore Haarlem, a dynamic city full of vibrancy and charm. Haarlem is the capital of the province of north Holland and the second largest city in the province after Amsterdam. Upon arrival, you’ll commence on a guided walking tour, passing by crow stepped gable houses with idyllic gardens. The charm of the houses will be reinforced by the small canals running through the city. Along the way, your guide will explain the history of Haarlem and the Netherlands. At the market square, the hub of the city with its town hall, enjoy an independent visit of the UNESCO St. Bavo’s Church. Admire the magnificent stained-glass windows and the organ, one of the world’s largest and where many famous musicians have played. To round off, enjoy some free time in the center of Haarlem before boarding the coach back to Ijmuiden.
The journey to Haarlem is around 45 minutes each way. There is approximately one hour of guided walking. Walking during your free time is at guests’ discretion. Flat, comfortable shoes are recommended. Local currency is accepted for purchases.
