Scenic Cruise Ride: Soak up the colorful sights and sounds of Kota Kinabalu with a half-day journey that begins with a drive past the 30-story Tun Mustapha Tower and the “floating” Kota Kinabalu City Mosque. Travel out of the city, through the lush countryside and finally pull up to a private jetty at Tambara Jetty. Here, you’ll step aboard an authentic thatched-roof raft for a cruise through the lush mangroves. Have your camera handy—in addition to herons, egrets, and the brightly colored kingfishers you may see the endemic proboscis monkey, famous for its prominent nose.

Borneo Culture: Prepare for more fun as you disembark and learn more about Borneo culture with hands-on demonstrations. Try your hand at batik painting or baking. Later, enjoy free time to discover the skills needed to line fish or use a blowpipe. Then, rejoin your coach for the scenic ride back to your ship.
