Begin by taking the guided air conditioned bus to the town center, here you will see the colorfully painted obelisk and visit the Santa Rosa de Lima church. Next head out to Altos de Chavon, a 16th century replica of a Mediterranean village perched high above the Chavon River, showcasing handcrafted stone pathways, decorative ironwork, and enchanting buildings. Here you will visit the 5,000 seat Grecian-style amphitheater, the Archeological Museum rich with pre-Columbian artifacts, the School of Design and the Church of St. Stanislaus. Continuing on, drive past the famous Casa de Campo golf course, considered by many to be one of the best courses in the world before visiting Tabacalera La Mathilde, a family run cigar factory which was originally founded in 1876. The next location is a worthy cultural experience; Foundation Corazon a Corazon; a charitable organization that educates and trains children and young people from the local area.
