
Parque Vargas: Limon's picturesque 115-year-old palm-lined seaside park boasts brightly colored tropical flowers, a quaint octagonal gazebo, monuments commemorating Limon's history, and beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean and Uvita Island where Christopher Columbus landed in 1502 on his fourth voyage.
Pasaje Cristal: This informal outdoor art exhibit displays paintings, sculptures, and other expressions from local Costa Rican artists. Affordable, local art is available for purchase and visitors can meet the artists.
United Fruit Company: The historic United Fruit Company building is home to the banana industry of yesteryear. You will experience a live and interactive Caribbean gastronomical experience. You will learn how to prepare traditional cuisine including the famous Caribbean version of rice and beans and enjoy tastings of the mild-spicy patty, and the tropical fruit sweet plantinta, all of which are part of your snack menu for the day.
Additional Sights and Shopping: From the sloths and the spectacled owls that live in the trees inside Parque Vargas and the flourish of dancers at Playa Bonita to the views of Uvita Island, your camera will be working overtime. Afterward, you will return to the ship on foot by simply crossing the street into the port, where you will have the opportunity to do some last-minute shopping for souvenirs at the local artisans’ and vendors’ market.

Accessibility: Tour is ambulatory accessible; you must be able to take a few steps (up/down) into the bus and walk short distances. Not recommended for guest with limited mobility, must do approx. 20 steps into historic building.
