Ara Manzanillo: After 12 years of successful reintroduction of critically endangered Great Green Macaws into natural habitat, The Ara Manzanillo Project, known as Ara Manzanillo is dedicated to restoring and conserving wild parrot populations in the Caribbean Rainforest of Costa Rica.
Cahuita National Park: In this ecosystem, nestled in the Caribbean but with forest environment, you will find species such as raccoons, sloths, iguanas and basilisks. You will also notice snakes and tamagá, and birds such as the black hawk.
What’s Included:
Accessibility: Tour is ambulatory accessible; you must be able to take a few steps (up/down) and walk short distances.
Requirements & Restrictions: Flash photography is not permitted. For safety reasons, this tour is not suitable for guests with mobility difficulties.
What to Bring: Hat, suntan lotion, and insect repellent. Closed-toe shoes are recommended.
Good to Know: Fauna at the National Park is not guaranteed. The drive to Puerto Viejo is approximately 1.5 hours.
