In the middle of nowhere, in between almond trees and haunting natural beauty, there is the Molino del Hortelano, in Casabermejo. Meet the owner, who has been working the field for ages, and has taken over the family business over decades. You will have the unique opportunity to walk through the fields and almond trees. He and his team (also family members) will show you with their own hands, the manual way to collect the olives, how they process them until the liquid gold, how romans used to call the olive oil, is produced. Although this almazara (Arabic Word for Olive Oil Mill) has evolved in time, the majority of their methods is still like centuries ago. After the visit, a typical andalusian breakfast will be served with bread toasted in fireplace , juices and of course, olive oil. At the end of the tour, guests will receive a small gift from the owner.
