Dzibilchaltún Ruins: Dzibilchaltún (the locals pronounce it, dZeeble-TOON) means “The place where there is writing on the stones”. This archaeological site is one of the oldest sites on the Yucatan Peninsula dating back to as early as 500 B.C. and was still inhabited at the time of the Spanish Conquest making it one the longest populated sites in the Maya world. Archaeologists estimate there were as many as 200,000 inhabitants and 8,400 buildings during its history with artifacts dating back to the middle of the classic period (700 – 800 A.D.) This well-known site is renowned for the appearance of the sun shining through the doorway of the Temple of the Seven Dolls on the spring equinox.

Climb the Ruins: There are several very important buildings that were designed to mark the solstice and the equinox.  You will have the chance to explore these structures and immerse yourself in the spectacular landscape.

Corona Beach Break: Enjoy some true Mexican relaxation on Corona Beach where you can chill in a lounge chair and small “palapas” in the sun or the shade. Enjoy the domestic open bar with chips and salsa, and sway to the gentle rhythms of tropical music. If you are in a party mood, join the games, dancing and entertainment for all groups.
