
Horseback Ride: Escape the crowds and discover Dyea Valley, just as the pioneers did – on horseback! Enjoy a serene horseback ride through the Klondike Gold Rush National Historic Park. Your guide will entertain and inform you of the history of the gold rush while you marvel at the majestic mountains, trees, and Alaskan wildflowers. You will even amble by a cemetery and the ghost town of Dyea. Conclude the tour with a delicious Alaskan salmon pate snack with your group as you reflect on the majestic experience.
What’s Included:
Requirements & Restrictions: Minimum height – 4 ft. 10 in. Maximum weight – 250 lbs. Guests must be able to walk short distances on natural terrain, ascend/descend steps to mount the horse, and balance on the saddle. A signed waiver is required for all guests.
What to Bring: Camera, sturdy shoes, and rain gear. Dress in layers.
Good to Know: Very mellow horseback ride through forest; no trotting.
