The Santana Trail: This is widely considered the most scenic hike in St. Anthony, among a host of enviably pretty vistas. You will climb 476 stairs to the top of a mountain, where you will be rewarded with a mesmerizing view of the pristine Newfoundland coast and Atlantic Ocean. Continuing the loop, follow the gravel road back down to the community and from here walk back to the ship. This is an incredibly beautiful hike.
Accessibility: This tour is not accessible for guests who are deaf/hard of hearing, blind/low vision, or those using wheelchairs, canes, rollators, or other mobility devices.
Requirements & Restrictions: Minimum age – 16 years. This is an active excursion, and guests must be physically fit, able to navigate over uphill, unpaved, rough terrain with many steps.
What to Bring: Bring a light jacket, or sweater, and water.
Good to Know: Wear comfortable walking shoes. This tour operates rain or shine. The tour guide will accompany guests on the return 30-minute hike through the community to the ship as an escort. While they will be available to answer questions, this portion of the experience is not considered a guided part of the tour.
