Sainte Marie Island: Take a short drive to Nouméa's Ouemo district for a kayaking adventure. After receiving safety equipment and a briefing, paddle toward Sainte Marie Island, exploring hidden coves and coral life. Pause at a beautiful beach for refreshments, a dip in the water and insights into New Caledonia, then kayak back to complete the journey.
Requirements & Restrictions: Minimum age - 6 years. Tennis shoes or closed toe sandals MUST be worn; flip-flops are not permitted. Guests must be able to swim, as well as be able to take a big step to get in and out of the kayak.
What to Bring: Bring a small waterproof pack to stow cameras. Wear swimwear under your clothes and walking shoes. Bring a hat, towel and adequate sun protection. Please fill your water bottle before leaving the ship.
Good to Know: This tour is recommended for guests in good physical condition. The kayaking portion of this tour is approximately 1 hour long. Sea snakes are commonly found on beaches throughout Noumea. While they are generally docile and avoid human interaction, for safety, please wear appropriate footwear, stay alert, and avoid touching any snakes.
