Attention, adventure-seekers! If kicking back at the beach is just too tame for you, cruising offers lots of opportunities to get your blood pumping instead. Top of the list? Zip lining. Zooming through the air is exhilarating but you can make it even more of a rush by doing it surrounded by lush tropical foliage. A Caribbean cruise is a great time to try zip lining for the first time—or, if you’re a seasoned zipper, add an exciting new destination to your zip line pursuits. Here are 5 top spots for zip lining in the Caribbean. (In no particular order—they’re all tons of fun!)

1. St. Lucia

With the magnificent Pitons rising above deep blue water and a verdant green rainforest, St. Lucia is one of the most magical places in the Caribbean to try zip lining. The Adrenaline Zipline Adventure will give your body and mind a workout, with 18 platforms to swing and fly between. This zip line park also gives you the option to try rappelling and flying with your arms spread out in front of you like the superhero you are.

2. Montego Bay, Jamaica

Need some upbeat music to pump you up before you hit the line? How about reggae? Naturally, even an adrenaline-fueled adventure in the jungle has a rhythmic beat in Jamaica. Zip lining during your day in Montego Bay is the perfect way to get a feel for just how beautiful the Jamaican landscape is. You’ll glide over citrus trees and lagoon waters on these lines, so keep your eyes open!

3. San Juan, Puerto Rico

Here’s a great option for zip line fanatics and brave first-timers: They call it “The Beast” (“La Bestia”), and when you look down and across the mountains of central Puerto Rico, you’ll see why! This is one of the longest zip lines in the Caribbean and promises both breathtaking views and heart-pounding thrills.

4. St. Thomas, USVI

Views of rolling green treetops all the way to the ocean are your reward for braving the heights of St. Peter Mountain in St. Thomas. The zip-line experience here features a few cool twists, including two sky bridges and the “Yo-Yo,” the only zip line in the Caribbean where you can travel backwards and forwards on the same line.

5. Roatán, Honduras

Yes, the Magical Flying Beach Chair is a fun way to glide into port at Mahogany Bay. But if you want to go deeper into the mountains, at a faster speed, sign up for a zip line adventure into Gumbalimba Park. You’ll get a bird’s eye view of Roatán’s, well, birds and other unique flora and fauna. Once you’re done, you can rest your tired muscles in the crystal clear water at Tabyana Beach.
